Nashville life sciences firm heads to Coppell for major operation

PathGroup already has locations in Austin and San Antonio.

A Nashville-based biotech firm is expanding to North Texas with a large facility in Coppell.

PathGroup — a provider of anatomic pathology, digital pathology, clinical and molecular laboratory services — has rented almost 127,000 square feet for its new offices at 111 Northpoint Drive. The operation is in the 121 Corporate Center.

PathGroup will occupy an entire building in the business park with its third location in Texas. The lease is one of the largest such recent transactions in that area, which includes Las Colinas, according to brokers at Newmark Group.

The Dallas-Fort Worth area is seeing rapid growth for medical and biosciences facilities.

“Office product that can accommodate hybrid office, medical and life science users continues to be in demand in D-FW,” Newmark’s Nathan Durham said in a statement. “PathGroup’s growth and their establishment of a D-FW location further demonstrate the momentum of the office market in Las Colinas.”

The 121 Corporate Park is near Coppell Nature Park, which has 66 acres of open space with jogging and nature trails.

PathGroup has operations in Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri and North Carolina, and in Austin and San Antonio.

Newmark’s Nathan Durham and Duane Henley negotiated the lease with Cushman & Wakefield’s Dean Collins, Mark Collins, Jason Dodson, Michael Sessa and Jack Keenan. Cabot and Link Logistics Real Estate own the building.
